Flair and tear it might have been, but Klitschko, while stylistically a world apart, has some flair and tear of his own?
Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London, England, undefeated Tyson Fury (24-0, 18 KOs) put his mark, actually several marks, on Romanian heavyweight Christian Hammer (17-4, 10 KOs), knocking him down in round five before forcing his corner to throw in the towel at the end of eight.
Predicting the winner of this fight was easy work for hard-pressed prognosticators. It was a stay busy fight for the busy Irishman, who now appears poised to fight Wladimir Klitschko.
After the fight, the always entertaining Fury said, ?I?m here to entertain. I came here to box a very worthy opponent who was very tough. He took a lot of punishment and his corner knew they had to pull him out. I was going through the motions, really. It was a bit of flair and tear.?
Flair and tear it might have been, but Klitschko, while stylistically a world apart, has some flair and tear of his own.
?I have come a long, long way in the last three or four years,? added Fury. ?I went back to basic for this fight, and I?m a much improved fighter. And that?s why I?m ready for Klitschko next.?
