Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum said on Friday that Floyd Mayweather ?is running like a thief? as the Top Rank chief expressed disenchantment that the brash US fighter refuses to sign his name above the dotted line. Arum said his fighter, Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao, is already on board, having agreed to bow down to Mayweather?s demands.
?When push comes to shove, he (Mayweather) backs down,? added the 83-year-old Arum. Still, Arum is not pulling the plug on his bid to get the fight done although he a solid backup plan is in place. If Mayweather doesn?t fight Pacquiao, Arum said a ring return for the eight-division champion will take place in late-April or sometime in May.
Arum had discussed with Pacquiao what?s down the road when they met in Los Angeles.
