I got a movie for Christmas called “Manny Kong”. In it, a November 2009 Manny Pacquiao plays the role of a huge ape after the body of Miguel Cotto while possessing the soul of Floyd Mayweather.
Pacquiao climbs up Miguel Cotto’s building and peaked into his window, ultimately scares the sh*t out him, and then thoroughly beats the same thing out of him. But see, this wasn’t the real drama.
About 10 floors directly below, something else from Manny Kong was peaking through Floyd Mayweather’s window. It immediately traumatized and terrified Floyd, producing massive screams and shouts.
The term “Flomo” is born… Merry Christmas, Suckers.

Kong actually never sees Floyd, but hears so much about him (and from him through tweets, instagram or via phone) he chases him all over the world before finally cornering him in your living room.
Its up to you to decide whether its more important to pick a side and let him slide by, or to demand he get in front of cameras with Top Rank, HBO, Showtime and CBS (along with a real life Manny Pacquiao), and announce to the world he’s decided to pick “us”. Without us, there is no “Money” nickname… right?
A fighter is not supposed to get in front of a camera and offer excuses or reasons. That is really to be expected from fans based on pure speculation, not from the mouth of someone called “TBE”.
Can you imagine Ali implying that he wanted to make sure “The Gorilla” wasn’t too strong? What if that same Gorilla showed up at ESPN to not only tell them he wanted to fight Ali, but that Ali was afraid of him.
How long do you think it would’ve taken for Ali to get to that studio?

On Christmas Eve, after flushing yet another round of “Pacturd” talks down the drain, we received an apparent tweet from Floyd via Twitter that said:

My next fight will be with @Manny Pacquiao @MGMGrand May 2nd 2015. Merry Christmas.
Whether authentic or not, we do have footage we can verify where he’s said the same thing. I believe I know Floyd so well, that its not beyond him to declare a date he had no intention of fulfilling with Pacquiao. This, to keep an opinion flowing among blind followers, that he readily extended a date and has never been an impediment to the fight taking not taking place.
Yeah. And I have 7 ft. tall bodyguards that look like Shaquille O’Neal and Bobba Fett like he does.
Proving he’s slick beyond a squared circle, he only dangled a Pacquiao date publicly that he thought wasn’t obtainable privately. Whether you want to believe this or not is irrelevant. But – he’s now found out behind closed doors that May 2nd is not only available, but that the party he challenged is more than eager to finalize this fight.
And he’s stalling. Again.

However, much to Floyd’s chagrin – Pacquiao vs. Mayweather will indeed happen on May 2, 2015 and there isn’t a damn thing he can do about it. Hell if it comes to it, The Illuminati will force his ass to fight. If Al Haymon is Micheal Corleone, then Bob Arum is Hyman Roth and they’re in each other’s way.
But the runway for a mega meeting is being cleared.
Pacquiao, according to a very reliable source close to the Filipino icon, will reportedly be in Los Angeles roughly a month from now in support of his rather riveting docu-film “Manny”. This, while simultaneously meeting Floyd in a face to face encounter for the very first time. The only reason an event like this would occur, is if Pacquiao and Mayweather were finally on a platform with their promotional teams to kick off a press tour announcing a superfight.
That timing is also in line with something on the heels of a formal announcement weeks prior, which would give them enough time to go on the most massive press tour in sports history, before starting the most important training camps of their fistic lives.
CHRISTMAS IN MAY
?I can see Pacquiao hurting Floyd and Floyd fighting back and taking over the fight and winning the decision but it?s gonna be an exciting fight, I can?t wait,? said former light heavyweight champ Antonio Tarver (31-6-0, 22 KOs) in an interview the other day with “ontheropes” radio.
?Mayweather?s been in some tough fights and he?s proven he can handle the pressure so you can?t bet against Mayweather, but you just know he?s gonna be tested in a way he?s never been tested before fighting with a Pacquiao.?
I think he’ll be far more than tested. In fact, I don’t think he comes close to getting a decision – or even going the distance.
I remember noticing Floyd in between the late rounds during his duel with Miguel Cotto. Mayweather, usually indefatigable, was somewhat worn out by what he thought was a diminished version of Cotto prior to his alliance with Freddie Roach. Facing Pacquiao three years after this bout, he does so knowing that Manny hasn’t diminished the way he’s wanted him to, and that this will be a far more daunting task for several reasons. Among them, it is he who is 2 years older than Pacquiao, and the fighter who had the more difficult 2014.
I do know that Algieri was on fairly even – if not dominant – terms with Maidana in sparring for Pacquiao, before being used as a mop on a Chinese canvas.
When you face “B” competition as an “A” fighter, there should be obvious separation between you after 24 rounds. Compare Pacquiao’s 24 near shutout rounds with a Robert Garcia trained Brandon Rios and Chris Algieri, while comparing it to Floyd’s 24 with a solid “B” fighter in the Robert Garcia trained Marcos Maidana.
So pleased was Floyd with the rematch, that he demanded both fights be pulled from Showtime’s “On Demand” feature, along with all airings of the “All Access” episodes. The fact that he even needed an additional fight with Maidana, should be revealing enough for fans and media as to what will probably unfold in May.
But we first need to see something in order to believe it, almost like the gift you thought you weren’t going to get for Christmas, as opposed to what you got. You’ll get the fight you want on May 2nd, or Kong will peak through your window.
