Money” talks, so of course, bullsh*t doesn’t walk. Floyd Mayweather is running out of options (and excuses) to avoid a fight with Manny Pacquiao.
The only thing Showtime didn’t do while kissing Floyd Mayweather’s ass in its recent interview, was somehow find a way to animate it, because Floyd is becoming a cartoon character.
Mayweather routinely avoids being questioned by the media, largely because of questions he seeks to avoid while offering his own spin on things. Such was the case when Steve Farhood (with a nose browner than uh, #2) conducted an “interview” that was softer than Charmin. Don’t think Floyd isn’t a narcissist?
Please. This was classic Floyd Mayweather in every ridiculous way imaginable.
Predictably, Floyd jumped right into the fray to address Manny Pacquiao (get this..) “ducking” him. Perhaps he tried to read my recent article about him entitled “The Duck Dynasty”, which chronicles his elaborate ducking of Pacquiao and a few other fighters. But anyway, he goes on to tell Farhood essentially that Pacquiao is the bad guy, his PPV numbers are down, Arum this – Arum that, and blah, blah, f*ckin blah.
Never ONCE was he questioned about the horrific deaths of Earl Hayes and Stephanie Moseley he allegedly witnessed on FaceTime. We do know he was ultimately questioned by the LAPD about this, but miraculously, Showtime let it ride and didn’t say jack about it.
Coincidence? No.
Imagine him in front of Jim Lampley or Max Kellerman on HBO. There’s no way that interview doesn’t have drama or make him feel like he’s on a witness stand. Better yet, imagine Larry Merchant in front of his ass the other day cross examining him. I think, the interview would’ve gone something like this…

Larry: “Floyd, the world is demanding a Pacquiao fight. Pacquiao has demanded the fight. Are you ready to demand the fight?”
Floyd: “We’re waiting on them. We…(Floyd gets cut off)”
Larry: “No actually Floyd, we, Pacquiao and the rest of the world – has been waiting on YOU.”
Floyd: “Once again Larry, you not giving me my respect. I aint scared of Pacquiao, We ready for him on May 2nd.”
Larry: “Is that a promise, or are you merely trying to promote this event you’re attached to and playing games? Clearly, Pacquiao has been ready to fight you, is the biggest money fight available and has openly challenged you for over a year Floyd. Why haven’t… (Floyd cuts Larry off)
Floyd: (IRATE) You never give me my just do Larry! Once again, you making me cry and this sh*t ain’t fair! I just don’t want to do business with Bob Arum and I’m my own boss! I… (cutting Floyd off again)
Larry: “No Floyd (as Floyd goes into a juvenile blame rant and has a complete panic attack), Al Haymon is your boss, and I think its time to consider you just haven’t WANTED to fight Pacquiao, and you’re wasting our time. JIM…”

Floyd said during his interview, done while conveniently promoting a boxing card – so of course he would use this occasion to speak, that he would no longer offer the 40 million he offered Pacquiao since he lost twice and basically laid all the blame on Pacquiao and Arum.
He said a few other things, that frankly, aren’t even worth mentioning. You get the impression from Floyd Mayweather that you’re dealing with a he-said/she-said adolescent that lies to cover up the truth. The bottom line is he really doesn’t want fans to see him beaten badly by Manny Pacquiao, and will do anything possible to convince the public that this notion isn’t true.
After the unfortunate episode surrounding the death of his associates, 50 Cent issued a sincere statement of support to Mayweather. He doesn’t know how to be anything but brutally honest, which has always been something I’ve admired in him.
It is also the primary reason why he distanced himself from Floyd, though he maintains the type of love and affection for Floyd that a big brother would his younger sibling.
I remind you all of Floyd in this video, where he very candidly reveals the way he felt and still feels about the prospect of fighting Pacquiao – and then logically compare what he said recently. As people, we just don’t really change that drastically, so why are you supposed to believe he’s not still the same liar?
He’s simply been an elite fighter too long for this not to be obvious – he just doesn’t want to face Pacquiao.
Then consider this video 50 Cent made yesterday, in the wake of Earl and Stephanie’s tragic turn of events, and made after Floyd’s recent interview. The vast majority of the people I talk to these days feel this way about Floyd, and no punk ass “fake” interview (same guy who admitted that his “All-Access” show is fake) can fix it.
Take it away 50…
“I don’t see him taking that fight,” revealed 50. “I know [he knows] he doesn’t have to. I know he knows the truth… No matter how they feel, they’ll watch the next one. It’s not just him that makes the decision, its collective. But if you want to get mad at somebody- blame him (Floyd).”
