BIG BEAR, California?A string of misfortunes has fallen on Manny Pacquiao?s foe.
A rolling blaze at Santa Monica Mountain forced Marco Antonio Barrera?s camp to put his training to an abrupt halt as they fled Oscar de la Hoya?s multimillion dollar gym atop the mountain here, which as of this writing was already half-eaten by the fire.
The inferno, which has destroyed $63- million worth of properties, burned 506,367 acres of land and claimed 72 lives according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, began in a backyard on Saturday, at a home in Simi Valley.
