“Trainer of the Year” Freddie Roach yesterday proposed that Ring Magazine featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao should fight World Boxing Council featherweight champion Injin Chi of South Korea who recently won the title with a rousing knockout victory in a rematch with Britain?s Michael Brodie after their first encounter was declared a controversial draw.
Roach, in an overseas telephone conversation with Viva Sports/Manila Standard said “people want a rematch” between Pacquiao and World Boxing Association/International Boxing Federation champion Juan Manuel Marquez who battled to an epic draw last Sunday where an error in judge Burt Clement?s scoring of the first round when Pacquiao decked Marquez three times robbed the Filipino ring hero of victory.
