In the spirit of Floyd Mayweather, Paris Hilton, and God knows who else, Broner has found a way to parlay his notoriety into something profitable that is considerably less injurious than fighting the likes of Marcos Maidana.
The fun-loving former champ is now earning between $6,000 and $10,000 a night for doing nothing more than appear at clubs. His celebrity, based less on his boxing than his willingness to be outrageous, has apparently found an appropriate platform.
It may be a gimmick, but it?s a gimmick that?s paying off, which is the bottom line in more ways than one.
Broner bookings are through roof. With the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas, which can be had by the highest bidder, Broner?s been booked for every weekend until the end of the year.
Among his recent appearances, Broner spent Halloween flaunting his presence at The Bank in Cleveland, and recently appeared at Lit, a strip club in Queens, New York.
The King of Selfies recently made news when he posted a video titled Adrien Broner Death Speech. A little less titillating than his porn video, but equally significant, Broner revealed that when he gets to heaven he plans to smack Michael Jackson ?because he was black and he wanted to be white.?
