Marc ?Gwapo? Pagcaliwangan makes weight at 122lbs; John Brown weighs in at 119.2lbs. By Rob Cruz PhilBoxing.com Fri, 21 Jun 2013 ![]() Montreal, Canada ? In his fifth professional fight in the City of Montreal, Filipino Canadian Marc ?Gwapo? Pagcaliwangan returns to where he made his pro debut last September at the Chapiteau CCSE Maisonneuve. ?Gwapo? will be fighting a rugged and muscle bound Canadian East Coast fighter John Brown. Marc Pagcaliwangan weighed in exactly at the contractual weight of 122 lbs while John Brown weighed in at 119.2Lbs. Pagcaliwangan described his opponent as a little bit shorter but bulkier and looked stronger than him. However Pagcaliwangan commented he is not intimidated by a stronger opponent and that he is confident that he will have the edge when it comes to punching power. During his second training camp in Montreal, Pagcaliwagan stated that his sparring was really mixed up due to the availability of his regular sparring partners Baha Laham and Oliver Lonchi. However Pagcaliwangan discovered a local Filipino Amateur boxer from Montreal with a good record that he got some good sparring with. Coach Ian MacKillop who formerly trained at the famous Wildcard Gym has been training Pagcaliwangan in Montreal for two fight camps, now has taught Pagcaliwangan to be more patient in the ring. Coach Socrates Celestial arrived in Montreal yesterday, immediately he?s noticed how much Pagcaliwangan has matured and become a consummate professional with his training regiment. Heading into this fight against John Brown, Pagcaliwangan and his coaches are content with his mental and physical preparation. Tyson Cave who fought A.J. Banal a couple of years ago in Cebu will also be fighting on the same card tonight.
