Marc ?Gwapo? Pagcaliwangan wins by TKO over Jose Fernandez (Pictures)

PhilBoxing.com

Montreal, Canada - As soon as the bell rang a new Marc ?Gwapo? Pagcaliwangan emerged, he was more confident, urgent and composed when he charged out of his corner and launched his attack on a game Jose Adan Fernandez. You can see the hunger and focus on Pagcaliwangan?s face as if he was a lion that hasn?t ate for days waiting to sink his fangs on his swift prey.

The smaller Jose Adan Fernandez's footwork covered all angles of the ring within seconds, he was considerably quicker than Pagcaliwangan when both boxers launched their offence against each other.

Pagcaliwangan was able hunt down Fernandez by cutting the ring on him. When Fernandez was trapped, he felt Pagcaliwangan?s power from a couple of punches. However Fernandez was able slip and move away repeatedly from the lunging Pagcaliwangan.

Pagcaliwangan finally connected with a big upper cut followed with a head shot that urgently backed Fernandez in the middle of round 1. The slips became a running attempt to escape from Pagcaliwangan who knew that when his opponent felt his power, Fernandez would not want any more punishment.

While Pagcaliwangan was against the ropes, Fernandez threw a punch that looked like it landed on Pagcaliwangan?s mid-section. Fernandez started to shake his hand as if he was hurt, Pagcaliwangan commented that he was actually punched in the shoulder instead of the torso. Fernandez who was grieving in pain and shaking his injured hand was in full retreat in the last minute of the fight. Pagcaliwangan?s corner yells out ?he?s hurt!? as the coaches want Pagcaliwangan to go for the kill now.

The injured Fernandez ran the clock in the last minute of the first round while Pagcaliwangan chased him in the ring. Fernandez appeared that he hurt his hand as he was shaking and favouring it while he was on the run.

When the round ended both fighters went back to the corner, there was activity in Fernandez corner with the inspection of his injured right hand. He talked to his corner regarding the condition of his wrist that could have been sprained if not broken.

Fernandez and his corner agreed not come out for the second round due to the injury sustained. Marc ?Gwapo? Pagcaliwangan earned his forth victory by TKO.

Pagcaliwangan?s manager Mark Erwin stated that this fight was an easy victory for Pagcaliwangan. He is well schooled and has matured during this training camp. Erwin commented that Fernandez didn?t want to go on with the fight when he was hit hard by Pagcaliwangan.
