HERNANDEZ DESTROYS KOMPAYAK TO REGAIN WORLD CROWN (PHOTOS) By Carlos Costa PhilBoxing.com Sun, 07 Oct 2012 Mexican Adri?n "El Confesor" Hern?ndez demolished and knocked out Kompayak Porpramook of Thailand to regain his WBC Jr. Flyweight world title Saturday night at the Centro de Convenciones in Toluca, Mexico. The Mexican got his sweet revenge for his tenth round knock out loss he suffered to the fists of Kompayak last December in Bangkok. This time around things were so different. Hern?ndez looked impressive, fast and confident, pressing the action since the sound of the first bell, scoring solid blows to the head and mid-section of the strong Thailander who did seem to posses capabilities of war nor technique to counterattack the violence excerpted by gunning "El Confessor." Meanwhile, excited Toluca fans screaming M?xico! M?xico! M?xico! kept on encouraging Hern?ndez who pleased them by not ceasing to unleash destructive hands on his tough Asian opponent who was staggered but was not about to surrender. Round three was dynamite. "The Confessor" Hernandez scored a powerful overhead to the head of Kompayak Porpramook, who fell to the canvas visibly hurt, but bravely stood up to the count of the referee and the fight went on at an even furious pace. An intentional head blow thrown by a now desperate Thailander, spotted by fans and officials opened a cut on 'El Confesor'. Blood instantly came out from left eyebrow of the Mexican for which the referee from Panama Hector Afu penalized the Thai with a point deduction. However, the ring doctor allowed the injured Hernandez to keep on fighting, which he did in relentless fashion. A big rewarding finale was waiting the fans in Toluca in the sixth round when a stunning left-right combination dished out by the Mexican hurt Kompayak to such a degree that the third man stopped the punishment at the 23 seconds mark as fans went wild in celebration. With this result, Adrian Hernandez regained the WBC Junior Flyweight World title, a huge night for "El Confessor," indeed couldn't have been better. For his next fight, "El Confesor" Hernandez has multiple choices, but in Philippines, fans would like to see the Mexican defending against rated Pinoy Jonathan Ticoning.
