Dusseldorf, Germany (May 12, 2010) - Filipinos worldwide are tuned in to the elections going on in the Philippines right now. Aside from 43 year old David Cameron becoming the new Prime Minister of Great Britain replacing Brown, CNN Europe Headline News here reports a developing story that boxing sensation turned politician Manny Pacquiao is ahead in the votes being counted in Sarrangani Province.

CNN news mentioned 31 year old WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao is up for a seat in congress in his home state in the Philippines. It was mentioned that this is his second entry in the political ring and that he had lost his last bid in the 2007 elections. They showed Pacquiao voting wearing a pink red polo shirt accompanied his wife, Jinkee Pacquiao. According to the CNN News on TV, Pacquiao said that even if he wins, he still plans to continue boxing in the ring.

Joey Pamonag, a friend in General Santos City in the Philippines, emailed this writer that Manny Pacquiao is almost a sure winner and it looks like he is heading for a knockout landslide victory over billionaire political opponent Roy Chiongbian. Pacquiao gives hope to the needy and poor folks of Sarangani where he plan to build a hospital someday. It had been his dream to be a good public servant by entering politics in order to help the people in that province. It seems that he will finally realize his dream.

Mario Dillera from Oberhausen, a German citizen and long time Pacquiao fan, told this writer today that the German TV network that covered the Pacquiao-Clottey fight in March 2010 praised Pacquiao's sincerity in helping the plight of his countrymen especially those in Sarangani Province.

In his next fight on top of the squared circle possibly November 2010, Manny Pacquiao may be intoduced by the classy announcer Michael Buffer as the fighting pride of the Philippines and the honorable congressman, aside from his seven titles in seven different divisions. What a resume for a boxer!

In another developing story, Europe CNN edition also showed 50 year old bachelor Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III as also leading in the race for Presidency in the Philippines. Aquino was mentioned that as a public servant, he plans to end the ongoing corruption in the country.
