ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (November 14, 2024) -- Boxing Insider Promotions is bringing the boxing buzz back to The Boardwalk this Saturday night at Tropicana. All the action will be streamed live on DAZN from The Showroom at Tropicana Atlantic City starting at 7 p.m. ET.

Because it’s happening on the famed Atlantic City Boardwalk, promoter and Atlantic City native Larry Goldberg is presenting a power-packed card, highlighted by a trio of main events featuring legitimate blue-chip prospects.

The fan-appealing Insider Boxing Promotions’ event is loaded with competitive, entertaining fights showcasing rising stars, popular local fighters, and a pair of potential women’s world champions of the future.

World Boxing Association (WBA) International Bantamweight Champion Dominique “Dimes” Crowder (17-0, 10 KOs) takes on 2012 Ghana Olympian Duke Micah (24-2, 19 KOs), of Ghana, in an eight-round main event. Rated No. 14 in the world by the WBA, Crowder takes on arguably the toughest test of his pro career in Micah, the former EBC International, Commonwealth Boxing Council and WBO African Champion.

Popular undefeated junior middleweight Justin Figueroa (10-0, 8 KOs), known as “Mr. Atlantic City,” is in the six-round, third main event versus Omar Rosales (9-3-1, 5 KOs). Figueroa,25, was a popular football player at Holy Spirit High School and former member of the famed AC Beach Patrol.

Undefeated Tennessee welterweight Avious Griffin (15-0, 14 KOs), who has stopped all but one of his opponents, faces Adrian Gutierrez (12-2-1, 6 KOs) in one of the three main events. Riding an eight-right knockout streak, the Brian “Bomac” McIntyre-trained Griffin is one of the best kept secrets in boxing.

Either of two other potential stars of the future, Long Island (NY) super middleweight Donte Layne (4-0, 4 KOs) and Paterson (NJ) junior middleweight Dwyke Flemmings, Jr. (8-0, 8 KOs) could very well steal the show at The Trop. A celebrated amateur boxer, Crowder’s six-round fight against Shaquille Cameron (7-3, 6 KOs) is presented in association with Overtime Boxing. Crowder was the 2022 USA National Championships and National Golden Gloves champion, as well as a 2021 USA Nationals and Junior Pan American Games gold medalist.

Undefeated Italian junior welterweight Giacomo Micheli (8-0, 6 KOs) and Ronnell “Punisher” Burnett (11-1, 7 KOs) will battle in an eight-round encounter. Micheli was a 2021 Italian Elite and U22 National Champion.

Flemmings. Jr. throws-down with Costa Rica’s David Lobo Ramirez (17-2, 12 KOs) in a six-rounder. A 2018 USA Junior Olympics silver medalist, Flemmings, Jr. already is a hot prospect at the age of 20.

Back to local talent, undefeated heavyweight hopeful heavyweight Bruce “Atlantic City Express 2.0” Seldon, Jr. (3-0, 3 KOs) - the son of former World Boxing Association (WBA) Heavyweight Champion Bruce Seldon, Sr. (40-8, 36 KOs) – was a solid football player at Absegami High School in Atlantic City. The 30-year-old Seldon, Jr. is matched with Julio Mendoza (3-4, 2 KOs) in a four-rounder.

“I saw everything behind the scenes, all the hard work, and hard training,” Seldon, Jr. talked about what he learned growing up as the son of a world champion boxer. “It was a blueprint for me. I always went to the gym with my father, but never was at his fights. I watched his fights on TV. There’s always pressure but not any extra pressure on me. Being my father’s son has opened up some doors.”

Philadelphia welterweight Stacia “The Natural” Suttles (1-0, 1 KO) and Hawaiian lightweight Shere Mae Patricio (2-0, 1 KO) are a pair of potential world champions who will be showcased in four-round fights.

New York City-born Suttles, now fighting out of Philadelphia, was a 2016 USA Women’s National Championships gold medalist. She squares off with Maroya Agapova (0-0-1), of Kazakhstan.

The card is subject to change.

Legendary promoter Don Elbaum, 93, will be honored by Boxing Insider Promotions. During his six-decade career in boxing, Elbaum promoted an amazing 196 shows at The Tropicana during a five-year period alone (1982-1986).

Ticket prices range between $48.00 and $203.50 and are available for purchase online at https://www.ticketmaster.com/boxing-insider-live-professional-boxing-atlantic-city-new-jersey-11-16-024/event/02006138C81B4F54?_ga=2.165801022.1645432099.1728316789-537326816.1728316789.

An amateur show, sanctioned by USA Boxing, will be held at Tropicana Atlantic City this Sunday (Nov. 17 – 1-6 pm ET). Tickets are $40.00 and 100%of the proceeds will be donated to the Atlantic City PAL. Tickets will be available to purchase at the door.
