Ronnie Baldonado Takes on Double World Ranked Yoshiki Takei in Japan

PhilBoxing.com

Brave Filipino GAB bantamweight champion Ronnie "Lindol" Baldonado (16-4-1, 9 KO's) of Cotabato del Norte is in a thrilling collision course against World-ranked Japanese WBC #9 superbantam "KO Artist" Yoshiki Takei 武居由樹 (6-0, 6 KO's) on Tuesday, July 25, at the Ariake Sports Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

The scheduled 8-rounder - as scheduled in boxing outlets - is one of the supporting bouts for the much exciting show headlined by Japanese star Naoya Inoue challenging Unified Super Bantam Champion Stephen Fulton.

The battle will mark Ronnie Baldonado's third venture in "The Land of the Rising Sun," as well as Yoshiki Takei's second rumble against a tough Filipino fighter.

Baldonado's prior two ventures in Japan were setbacks. And that is precisely why the confident, hard-as-steel Mindanao gladiator wants this coming Japan rumble to be resounding win that will propel him into the world-rankings in the Super Bantamweight division.

Despite 3 defeats in his last 4 fights, could Baldonado achieve victory over this world-ranked Nippon powerhouse? Well, as we all know, in boxing, everything is possible!

Meanwhile, the heavy-handed southpaw Yoshiki Takei, 26, of Yokohama - who viciously scalped in five chapters Laguna warrior Pete "Thunder" Apolinar - wants Ronnie "Lindol" Baldonado to be his next victim.

The hot Nippon slugger wants to shine bright in one of the most exciting shows this year in Japan, a show staged by his own promoter Ohashi Promotions.

It's a show that will be streamed live in Japan, as well as in the big U.S.A market, and around the world on ESPN+.

Then, should we wonder: Will Yoshiki Takei shine as he wants... achieving his 7th stoppage triumph in 7 rumbles, to climb even higher in the world rankings?

Because, in fact, Yoshiki Takei - who has been OPBF champion - is not only WBC #9, but also IBF #13 in super bantamweights.

Or is it the pogi Pinoy born in the Banwa sang Carmen, in Cotabato del Norte, the one designed and destined to glitter and dazzle on fight night?

The hugely entertaining card is promoted by prolific Japanese promoter, former 2-time world champion Mr. Ōhashi Hideyuki 大橋 秀行, head of Ohashi Promotions.

Best of luck to the two brave warriors. May the Best Man Win! 🇵🇭🇯🇵👍🥊
