NBA Daily: Suns Demolish Warriors 134-105

Tagbilaran City, Bohol – The Phoenix Suns routed the Golden State Warriors 134-105 at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday night (Wednesday morning, Philippine time). A total of seven technical fouls were issued and Klay Thompson was ejected for the first time in his career.

Devin Booker led the way for the Suns with 34 points on 11-for-19 field goal shooting, including 3-for-8 from deep and 11-for-14 from the charity stripe. He also had 2 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals. Four of his teammates also scored at least 16 points and everybody fielded in by Suns head coach Monty Williams was able to score for Phoenix.

Chris Paul was in his usual element with a very efficient 16 points on a 5-for-10 field goal shooting, including 4-for-5 from beyond the arc, 7 rebounds, 9 assists, and 1 steal, while Deandre Ayton had a double-double of 16 markers and 14 boards, to go along with 4 dimes and 1 steal for the Suns, who improved to 3 wins and 1 loss.

Steph Curry topscored for the reigning champs with 21 points, but only shot 7-for-17 from the field. His splash brother Klay Thompson only scored 2 and was 1-for-8 from the field prior to his ejection.

The Warriors, who dropped to 2-2, will return home to face the Miami Heat on Thursday night (Friday morning, Philippine time).
Meanwhile, the Suns will next host the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night (Saturday morning, Philippine time).
