WBO No. 1 Aston Palicte and WBO No. 2 Kazuto Ioka successfully made weight during the official weighin Tuesday afternoon at Makuhari Messe in Chiba City, Japan for their WBO world superfly championship scheduled Wednesday.
Palicte came in at 114.9 lbs (52.1 kg) while Ioka stepped the scales a bit lighter at 114.6 lbs (52.0 kg).
Both Palicte (25-2-1, 21KOs) and Ioka (23-2-0, 13KOs) previously fought for the WBO superfly title against the same opponent in Donnie Nietes but were unsuccessful. Palicte fought Nietes to a controversial draw on Sep. 8, 2018 at The Forum in Inglewood, CA for the then vacant title. Nietes then fought Ioka and won the title on Dec. 31, 2018 in Macau but immediately vacated it because he doesn't want to fight Palicte in a rematch from a fight he thought he clearly won.
So now it will be Palicte and Ioka who are going to settle who really owns the belt.

In the co-main event, Hiroto Kyoguchi (12-0-0, 9KOs) of Tokyo, Japan will defend his WBA super world light flyweight title against Tanawat Nakoon (11-0-0, 5KOs) of Thailand. Kyoguchi weighed in at 107.6 lbs (48.8 kg) while Tanawat came in at 107.4 lbs. (48.7 kg).
In the featured undercard, Miyo Yoshida (12-1-0, 0KOs) of Tokyo, Japan faces Casey Morton (8-1-3, 1KO) of San Francisco, CA for the vacant WBO world female super flyweight title.
