LEAGUE OF FISTS: WELTERWEIGHT SEMIS AND SEASON II MATCHES

PhilBoxing.com

SHANGHAI, CHINA - Ning Xinbo and Abulimiti Tuersunniyazi traded bombs from start to finish in the first welterweight semifinal bout for season one. There was little to separate both fighters after six rounds and the scores underscored the tight, bruising battle.

Danrex Tapdasan and Salven Lagumbay ? 57-57, Sungworn Klongboonkrong ? 58-56 for Abulmiti.

They will meet again at the later date to decide who enters the League of Fists 147lb division finals.

In the other welter semi-final match, Jin Yangcheng befuddled and battered Wang Jiancheng until an exhausted Wang caved in and was knocked down in the sixth and final round. Wang was too tired to get on his feet and Referee Atty.Danrex Tapdasan reached the count of ten at the 2:49 mark.

For the seven season two matches, there were two super flyweight bouts on tap:

Su Yinhuan got a majority decision verdict against Hu Liang.
Scores ? Yang Hong ? 38-38, Tao Zendong ? 40-36, Yin Haiyang ? 39-37.

Zhao Jun beat an exhausted Cai Jia'an by TKO in the 4th round. Time ? 1:31.

There were three super lightweight matches:
Yang Yongqiang won by second round TKO against Wu Biaobiao. Referee Mekin Sumon stopped it after a series of hard head blows landed on Wu. Time ? 2:20.

Fu Kaisheng was cut on the left temple due to a clash of heads early in the fight. This enraged Fu and he launched a two-fisted assault on Wang Songlin, knocking him down in the first and twice in the second round, prompting Referee Surat Soikrachang to call a halt to the bout at the 2:35 mark.

Aminbuhe stopped Wen Jiabao at the end of the third round after Wen?s corner decided that their boxer has had enough. Wen was down in round two.

There were two bouts in the middleweight division:

Aorigele beat a dog-tired Sun Wei by TKO with a second to go in the fourth and final round.

Chang Shaoheng won by majority decision over Liu Yue. The scorecards read ? Cao Hengxiang ? 38-38, Han Hongxiang and Yan Wengyong ? 39-37.

The fights were held Friday at Yun Space in Elite Valley, Shanghai and officiated by the Professional Boxing Commission (PBC) of China. The League of Fists boxing tournament is promoted by Seca and Top Rank. It was created to be an ongoing grassroots search for boxing talent in mainland China. The winner in their respective divisions in the tournament finals will be awarded WBO Greater China championship belts.
