JOHN Q. CITIZEN SHUT OUT OF THE BIGGEST BOXING MATCH IN HISTORY
By Greg R. Penilla, M.D. PhilBoxing.com Sat, 02 May 2015

Las Vegas, Nevada -- In a few hours the much awaited Fight of the Century will finally happen.
Unfortunately, ordinary people and ardent boxing fans are shut out to be part of the undisputedly biggest fight in boxing history dubbed as the Fight of the Century, the Fight of all Ages, or simply the MayPac Fight.
The token 500 seats made available to the public were gobbled in seconds, likely by robocalls and the tickets ended in the secondary market for unimaginable profits.
The Hollywood and sports celebrities, the super rich, the high rollers, the well-connected and the very lucky members of Team Pacquiao and The Money Team, who some (maybe a lot of them) will likely sell the (lottery) tickets they got for free will be at the arena soaking the electric atmosphere. However, Joe Smith and Mary Smith have no chance in hell to be part of boxing?s history.
In spite of the ticket prices seemingly falling like a rock for the past 24 hours, prices even at face value, are simply still to outrageously high to be affordable for regular folks making a decent living.
These hardworking fight fans should have been part of this historic event.
On fight night, the avid blue collar fight fans will not be cheering inside the MGM Garden.
And it is indeed a shame.
