HOLLYWOOD — On the three occasions that Nonoy Neri has had to feed Manny Pacquiao before a fight, this time is proving to be the easiest.
?There?s no need to restrain him,? said the 37-year-old trainer in Filipino. ?He?s so much in good condition that we don?t have to watch what he eats for weigh-in purposes.?
Pacquiao weighed in at a little over 136 pound late Friday afternoon, but he was wearing a shirt soaked in sweat, boxing shorts and a pair of boxing shoes. When he stripped off his workout clothes, his camp placed them on the weighing scale and it registered 4 lbs.
?That means he?s around 132, and that?s just where we want him to be,? Neri said.
Pacquiao and Mexican boxing star Erik Morales will fight as super featherweights, meaning they have to meet the 130-lb limit during the weigh-in on Nov. 17 in Las Vegas.
Morales, who was only in briefs, came in at 140 lbs during the mandatory weigh-in a month before the fight.
Still, Neri oversees the diet of Pacquiao, who stays away from pork, for one.
