She is the pioneer of Women’s boxing. Christy Salters was shot and stabbed, and left for dead by her then husband Jim Martin, who’s currently serving 25 years for attempted murder. This hasn’t stopped Christy though. She’s on the comeback trail, and she’s doing better then ever!
Christy has found love again. She’s in a wonderful realtionship with her highschool sweetheart, and yea, she’s happy again. She’s currently touring the country speaking to abused women. She’s sharing her story with others that have suffered abuse, and she’s making a real impact.
Christie has also inked a major movie deal. The movie will tell the world her story, the real story of how she was stalked for over 20 years by Jim Martin. She reflects back to how her own husband would stalk her, even with things as simple as getting her hair done at the salon. Jim would show up at the salon.
It’s been a rough go of it for this former champion prize fighter. Her strength though all of this is inspiring to many.
Christy also tells 8CN that she’s about to get back into boxing as a promoter. She’s targeting the North Carolina, Tennessee area. She’ll be putting together exciting fight cards that all fans will enjoy.
