Newly crowned WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto could find himself facing former WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley late this year at the Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Cotto is fresh from his RTD victory over Sergio Martinez early this month to capture the WBC and The Ring middleweight titles at the Madison Square Garden in New York while Bradley is recovering from his unanimous decision loss in a rematch against Manny Pacquiao last April 12.
Bob Arum, whose Top Rank Promotions (TR) promotes Bradley and Cotto said after the fight in New York, told ESPN that he is working on the possibility of staging an HBO pay-per-view (PPV) fight between Cotto and Bradley in New York.
