Yesterday afternoon Team Maidana made their grand arrivals to the MGM Grand Hotel Lobby to officially kick off fight week activities leading up to this Saturday night?s SHOWTIME PPV? event. Afterwards they would speak to the press about their fight on Saturday Night.
?I think I can knock him out, but I also think I can beat him by decision,? Maidana would say when asked if he felt he needed a knock out to beat Mayweather. ?Mayweather doesn?t throw a lot of punches, he throws one or two shots and I?m going to be throwing punches every minute of every round.?
For his part, Robert Garcia, trainer of Marcos Maidana, feels that Maidana will get Mayweather in a street fight, something he says Mayweather has not had to endure through his career.

In the co-main event, Amir Khan faces Luis Collazo in a 12-round bout for the vacant WBC silver welterweight world title.
