If he defeated Pacquiao, he would establish himself as boxing’s next big thing and would likely become a big time pay per view fighter. It would make him a household name and he would further secure himself as one of the most hated fighters in professional boxing.
But being hated isn’t necessarily a bad thing. There are probably more people who pay to watch Floyd Mayweather watch because they want to see him lose than there are people who are genuinely fans of his. In the sport of boxing, being hated sometimes means more money in your pocket. This is something Broner has learned from his idol, Money May.
