Pac Man headed back home on Saturday
Relax, Pac Man fans. Your icon is now in stable condition and will likely be discharged from the hospital on Saturday morning. The fighter was taken for medical attention yesterday afternoon after a bout of vomiting.
Manny Pacquiao was supposed to leave Friday for the United States to be ringside for the WBC lightweight title challenge of countryman Randy Suico against champion Juan Diaz at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, Balita.org reports. That plan will be scotched, as rest has been prescribed for the Pac Man.
Dr. Regina Bagsic, Pacquiao’s attending physician, said the Filipino ringmaster was suffering from “acid reflux,” which explained his stomach upheaval.
Pacquiao is scheduled to start training in August for his upcoming tiebreaker with Erik Morales on November at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
