Manny “The Pacman” Pacquiao will take on Erik “El Terrible” Morales in a rubber match that promises to be a great war to settle, once and for all, just who the better fighter is. On November 18th, there will be many questions answered. Does Erik Morales have anything left and if he does and he rallies all of his remaining skill and grit, will the Pacman be expecting it and be ready for it? I consider this the most dangerous bout of Manny’s career because this is not a bout that Morales is taking to lose and drive to the bank and cash his check. He is not coming into this fight for the money at all. I have the feeling that he is desperately seeking redemption and every great fighter has one last great fight left in him.
In this bout, Pacquiao has everything to lose. He is expected to win this fight convincingly over a spent force and move on to face the bigger names in the division. There has been talk about a meeting with the pound for pound king, “Pretty Boy” Floyd Mayweather, JR., along with future meetings with Marco Antonio Barrera and Diego Corrales, but he has a very tough challenge ahead of him. Morales is going to fight this fight like it is his fight, and it very well may be.
I think that the boxing world can look forward to a classic encounter between these two warriors, and even though I favor Manny Pacquiao to come out victorious and move on to bigger and better things, I suspect that this will be the toughest fight of his career. Boxing fans, we are going to be in for a treat on November 18th.
