Garcia (32-0) (WBO junior lightweight title) – Martinez is a solid fighter, but I feel that he may be in way over his head against the silent assassin, Mikey Garcia. Garcia will work behind a hard stiff jab and will then slowly but surely begin to close in and will then look to finish Martinez. I see Garcia stopping Martinez inside 9 rounds. Garcia?s left hook to the body and right cross upstairs will be too heavy for Martinez to deal with. Nonito Donaire (31-2) vs. Vic Darchinyan (39-5-1) ? Long anticipated rematch between these two fighters with history between them. I am afraid that Vic will be too eager to get at Donaire, he has waited way too long to get even. Donaire will need to employ his jab more than ever before, he must strike the second the open window presents itself and fire out short left check hooks. I see Donaire taking this by split decision in a very ugly affair. Demetrius Andrade (19-0) vs. Vanes Martirosyan (33-0-1) (WBO junior middleweight title) – Vanes is a tough fighter that has always found a way to win. But in Andrade, he will be facing a young, long, accurate fighter that can really trouble him. I am going to pick Andrade to pull the upset by keeping Vanes away from closing in by using his long measuring jab. Look for Andrade?s right hand to find a home as the action heats up. This fight could very well be a snoozer, but hey, who knows, if they choose to engage one another it could make for a fun scrap.
