PacMan’s fans now using text to bet on hero

Legions of fans showed their support starting Monday for boxing idol Manny Pacquiao by voting for him through Text Entertainment Games (E-Games).

E-Games is the newest trend in mobile phone gaming, which Filipinos are using to support the World Boxing Council International super featherweight champion.

Text E-Games, in partnership with ABS-CBN, launched Mano Milyonaryo, the texting game that is tapping millions of mobile users throughout the country. The contest began midnight of June 26 and will run until 6 p.m. of July 1.

The July 2 event will give millions of Filipinos with mobile phones a chance to place their bet on Pacquiao. Winners will be notified through text. A total cash prize of P1.5 million awaits lucky texters.

Registrants continued to increase by typing REG AGE on their phones and sending it to 8008 (Smart). New registrants received P20 worth of free E-Games load, which can be used within the day of registration. Subscribers will receive a confirmation message where they will be asked for their E-Games card number.

Game rules prohibit minors and those below 21 years of age from joining.

To increase their chances of winning, players should buy E-Games prepaid cards sold at SM Mega Cellular Load Central and all customer service centers of Robinson’s Malls.

To guess the fight result, type MANO P to vote for Pacquiao, L for Larios and D for draw and send to 7168 (Smart). The more E-Games card players purchased, the more chances of winning millions worth of prizes.

A raffle draw will be held on Friday, July 7 at the Casino Filipino office in Para?aque, supervised by representatives from Pagcor and ABS-CBN.
