Future hall of famer Juan Manuel Marquez sends a strong message to Timothy Bradley ahead of their October 12th showdown.
Recently during training, the 40 year old fight legend is seen blasting – and utimately exploding – a speedbag.
Previously a successful accountant in Mexico, Marquez gave up numbers and calculations for the ring and his decision has paid major dividends.
“I never expected to have this long of a career or to be this successful, but being good with numbers and knowing the value of money has helped me and while I doubt that I will return to work as an accountant, it will surely help in the future when I retire and invest in some type of business and understand the difference between a Balance Sheet and a Bout Sheet.”
Last fall, the former accountant made headlines when he floored a sparring partner with a counter right hand during a media workout. Ironically, it was very similar to the punch he landed to knockout fellow fight legend Manny Pacquiao weeks later.
If Marquez trumps Bradley later this month, he’ll win his 5th world title in as many divisions.
