It’s gonna be fireworks,” stated world-class Strength & Conditioning Coach Alex Ariza, who is wrapping up with undefeated former featherweight champion Mikey Garcia as he gets set to make his super featherweight debut this Saturday against WBO champion Roman Martinez. After seven productive weeks of training camp, which included several grueling early-morning workouts, Ariza has transformed Garcia’s body into a much more toned and athletic physique. Given the desire and hard work that Garcia displayed during their time together, Ariza believes he has what it takes to duplicate the success that another one of his famous clients had throughout multiple divisions.
“I think Mikey’s gonna have a breakthrough year next year. The way he’s looking, I mean, I’ve seen bodies transform. I’ve seen what happened to Manny [Pacquiao], especially physically, you know, with how he went to the next level in his training. I’m telling you, dude, I’m seeing Mikey doing the same exact thing,” Ariza explained during a recent conversation with FightHype.com. “I mean, he has responded so well that you start to get excited because you’re thinking about how he’s gonna look for his next fight. It only gets better, bro. He’s only going to get bigger, stronger, faster, quicker and you start mowing down the divisions.”
