8CountNews caught up with the newly crowned IBF Jr middleweight world champion Carlos Molina. Carlos took on former champ Ishe Smith as part of the Floyd Mayweather Vs. Canelo Alvarez card, in Las Vegas, last night.
Molina has been the victim of some terrible scoring over the course of his career, so it was nice to see him get his just due last night. He didn’t fight his best, but was still able to defeat a very tough champ in Ishe Smith.
Carlos breaks down his performance and talks about what may lay ahead for his bright future.
Floyd Mayweather brough up Carlos’ name last night during his post fight press conference. He said that he would like to see Molina fight Canelo Alvarez. 8CN asked Molina about that, and he agrees that a fight with him and Alvarez does in fact make sense.
