Acadmey Award and Emmy Award nominee Rosie Perez, in my opinion, was put here on Earth for a lot of reasons. Her acting career speaks for itself, but it’s more than just that. Rosie has a passion to right wrongs, and she’s got a track record of doing just that.
RosIe was appointed by President Obama to his Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS. She also co founded a fantastic inner city youth program called “Urban Arts Partnership” which she discusses in detail in this Podcast interview.
Rosie is not only an award winning actress, she’s also a huge boxing fan. She grew up watching the sport in Brooklyn, NY. In this interview, it’s quite evident that she knows the ins and outs of the sport. Rosie shares her thoughts on some of the big upcoming fights, and also talks about what she would do to make boxing judging easier and more fair. She like many boxing fans gets extremely frustrated when the scorecards don’t reflect upon who really should have won the fight.
In other boxing news, Rosie will be the Grand Marshall at this years International Boxing Hall of Fame (parade of champions) which she truly is honored. See her there on June 9th, at 1PM.

She can be seen in an upcoming move called “The Counselor” starring Brad Pitt and Penelope Cruz, and she has another big role in “God’s behaving badly” starring Sharon Stone and Christopher Walken.
