BEVERLY HILLS ? WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley said that if Juan Manuel Marquez wants to win his tittle, he?ll practically have to pry it out of his hands.
?I?m willing to endure so much pain to win this fight,? Bradley said Thursday at the Beverly Hills Hotel to kick off a two-city press tour. ?I?m going to hell and back, and probably back to hell again.?
Bradley, a Cathedral City resident, will defend his title against Marquez, a Mexican superstar in Las Vegas on Oct. 12. The fight pits two fighters who defeated superstar Manny Pacquiao last year.
For Marquez, he feels he should have won the WBO title in 2011, when he lost a decision to Pacquiao in Las Vegas. After that fight, Bradley beat Pacquiao in the summer of 2012 to claim the WBO belt.
?In 2011, this should have been my belt,? Marquez said.
Tickets for the fight go on sale at noon Friday. The fight will be at the Thomas and Mack Arena, the home of UNLV. The fight will be on pay-per-view for $54.99, but beer sponsor Tecate will offer a rebate.
