BARRIOS SENDS TREMORS TO PACMAN, ERIK, & MARCO TOO!

BARRIOS NOW THE MAN TO BEAT AT 130!

Los Angeles, CA-Rarely do I get antsy awaiting any fight. Call it tenure, or just being jaded, I was looking ever so forward to the HBO debut of Jorge Barrios. His negatives going into the television curtain raiser with James Nagy, was an early DQ, and a last round stoppage in a fight that was dead even a few years ago with Acelino Freitas. When you stack that up against 45 wins and 32 whacks, it isn’t hard to fathom that the Argentine might be something special.

CLOSED THE SHOW IN LESS THAN A MINUTE!

Unbeaten Nagy, 130 lbs., of Hungary, came out and tried right away to impose his will. But Barrios, 129, seemingly a weight class bigger, wasn’t impressed. Instead, he threw a lead left hook to the body, catching Nagy clean. Writhing in pain, he beat the count of referee Raul Caiz Jr. But, Jr., realizing that Nagy was toast, stopped the fight 50 seconds into the fight! Nagy is 25-1, Barrios, 46-2, with KO #33.

BEATS BARRERA, PACMAN, JUAN, & ERIK IN SAME NIGHT?

Having long admired the skill of Marco Antonio Barrera, Manny Pacquiao, Erik Morales, and Juan Manuel Marquez, I truly respect the “Fab Four.” But even the most ardent fans of the aforementioned with even a little bias must admit that there’s a good possibility Barrios runs them all out of the ring! I think Barrios is too big for Pacman, Marco, and Marquez. And while Morales might be able to equal him in size, I’d take Barrios again all four men.
