ROBERT GUERRERO: “HE’S GONNA FEEL THE PUNCHES…AIN’T NOTHING STOPPING ME FROM WINNING”

“Most definitely Floyd Mayweather is taking me seriously. After the beating I put on Berto, you gotta take somebody seriously…like he said, I mean, it’s been his longest training camp in a long time, and he’s putting in the work and the time that he needs to get ready for the fight…being that he went a whole year layoff, he’s gonna feel the punches…I’m ready to go. There ain’t nothing stopping me from winning this fight,” stated multi-division world champion Robert Guerrero, who held a conference call earlier today to discuss his May 4 showdown with undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather. Check out what else he had to say about Mayweather, the fight, and much more.

Robert Guerrero on Floyd Mayweather, the fight, and more…

You can’t compare Berto to Mayweather. You know, we’ve been working on a lot of different things…we’re working on everything.

Most definitely Floyd Mayweather is taking me seriously. After the beating I put on Berto, you gotta take somebody seriously…like he said, I mean, it’s been his longest training camp in a long time, and he’s putting in the work and the time that he needs to get ready for the fight…being that he went a whole year layoff, he’s gonna feel the punches.

We’re gonna go after him the whole fight.

Styles make fights…Floyd Mayweather is a very smart fighter and a very sharp guy…I know Floyd’s gonna be ready.

We’re all hypocrites. If you’re a perfect person, you wouldn’t need Jesus Christ…to call somebody a hypocrite, you know, is laughable.

I’m ready to go. There ain’t nothing stopping me from winning this fight.

Floyd’s gonna be Floyd…he’s in for a fight and he knows he is.

I’m always ready to fight…I’m coming to fight all the time.

He should’ve took the fight a year ago.

All I do is go out there and fight; fight my heart out…after this fight, everybody will know the accomplishments that I have.

This fight right here…there hasn’t been no pressure at all. Being by my wife’s side while she battles cancer, you know, that’s pressure.

I’m mentally ready for this; physically focused.

Floyd Mayweather, having that year off and being in jail…you know, it takes a toll on you.

Everybody was handpicked. He picked a small guy like Marquez, who he didn’t even try to make the weight. You know, he picked Cotto, you know, he knew he could get away with the foot speed and the hand speed. You know, Victor Ortiz, he just took advantage of.

Staying mentally strong and keeping the game plan together, and also being able to change game plans during the fight…all of those other guys haven’t been able to do that.
