Have you seen the new San Miguel Beer TV commercial? It?s known as Painom Ka and guess who are in it.
It?s an unlikely pair, but SMC execs say that Kris Aquino and boxing icon Manny Pacquiao have helped San Miguel Corp. sustain leadership in most of its markets. The commercial has the boxer making a simple invitation for a drink in a bar then it spreads and gets plugged in Kris? TV show, in the end winding up in a huge fiesta with San Miguel Beer as the centerpiece of the celebration.
It?s, of course, typical of SMC?s TVCs that play on the bandwagon concept.
But, what interests me is how much Kris and Manny got for their respective fees. I am very sure they didn?t get peanuts for chow with beer.
