It has been rumored throughout the past several weeks that Manny Pacquiao would look to take a fifth fight against Juan Manuel Marquez. There has never been more buzz surrounding a matchup between the two than there is right now. Yet, neither Pacquiao nor Marquez seem too interested to face off for another time.
Considering both Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez are past their primes and have been in four wars, it makes sense as to why they may both want some downtime before considering what to do with their future in the sport. But Pacquiao has never been the type of guy to shy away from publicity. One of the reasons he has become such a worldwide star was because he has always loved the attention and showed nothing but love to all of his fans.
It is very possible that Manny Pacquiao is quietly adjusting to life without boxing. He has a wife, kids and a career outside of the sport. He has no reason to continue his career other than the fact that he simply loved the sweet science.
Maybe his brutal loss to Juan Manuel Marquez has knocked out his passion for boxing.
