Boxing – Pound-for-pound rankings

Of the 20 fighters who received votes in the poll, only two fighters ? 19th-placed Gennady Golovkin and 20th-placed Mikey Garcia ? competed in January.

Golovkin retained his WBA middleweight title by taking apart Gabe Rosado, and Garcia won the WBO featherweight crown by scoring a lopsided win over Orlando Salido.

There probably won’t be much movement in the rankings until the spring, given that the majority of the world’s elite fighters are scheduled to compete later in the year.

One fighter who is, WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner, is expected to roll over Gavin Rees when they meet on February 16 in Atlantic City.
