IBF lightweight champion Jesus Chavez has been forced to pull out of his March 25 title defense against WBC 130lb champion Marco Antonio Barrera. Chavez suffered a torn muscle in his left bicep that will require surgery. “It’ll take him about six months to recuperate,” Chavez’ manager Lou Mesorano told Fightnews.com. “We wanted this fight, but boxing, that’s the way it is.”
