It’s been several years now and the world still awaits the only real fight that matters. Floyd Mayweather Vs. Manny Pacquiao, the two pound for pound big boys on the block may finally happen. Or will it?
Mayweather has been demanding that he gets the lions-share of the pot. He also demanded random blood testing up until the day of the fight. Well guess what? Pacquiao on ESPN national television has agreed to all of the above. What say you now Floyd? What will be the reason for the fight not to happen now?
If Floyd comes up with any other reason to kick the can down the road further, then there’s no doubt he is clearly ducking Manny Pacquiao. I have come out and defended both sides of this situation over the past few years. I think there are other elements that have prevented this fight from happening, but the main barriers were just removed by Manny Pacquiao. Nobody can say now that Pacquiao is at fault.

Pacquiao is scheduled to fight Juan Manuel Marquez next, and Floyd has nobody lined up as of yet. It’s critical that Pacquiao defeats Marquez. A loss to Marquez would give Mayweather another reason to not fight him. He has to win this fight!
Pacquiao has come out and said that he’s going for the knockout over Marquez. I don’t blame him because he was robbed something terrible by the judges after his fight Vs. Bradley. One concern that I have is that if Manny and Marquez fight another close battle, the judges may feel compelled to give it to JMM. Marquez has not been given the benefit of the doubt by the judges in any of his previous battles Vs. Pacquiao.

Pacquiao needs a big win over Marquez in order to not give Mayweather any other reason to dodge this big fight. Pacquiao has agreed to all of Floyd’s demands, random blood testing up until the day of the fight, and a smaller portion of the purse. It is your move Floyd.
