Moment ago, at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, middleweight king Sergio Martinez survived a scare in the final round after dominating former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. to score a unanimous decision and regaining the title that was rightfully his in the first place. Controlling the action through every round behind a quick jab and hard left hand, Martinez looked like he was going to cruise to an easy win, but Chavez Jr. rallied in the last round and landed a left hook that dropped Martinez and nearly had him out on his feet.
