Marquez?s last hurrah?

A WIN against Manny Pacquiao that has eluded Juan Manuel Marquez for three fights could be the defining moment to call it a career.

The 39-year-old Marquez, at the twilight of his storied boxing career, could call it quits if he finally gets a win over Pacquiao in their fourth encounter on Dec. 8 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Check our new look and tell us what you think.

However, he believes that to beat his archrival, the fight must not go the distance and into the hands of the judges.

?I want to knock him out. I know I can do it, although I know that it won?t be easy. I want to have my hand raised to prove who of us the better fighter is. I?ve already beaten him three times and had those victories taken from me. A knockout is the only way to take (the decision) from the judges? hands. If that (knockout) happens, it could be the perfect moment (to retire) but we will see what happens,? said Marquez in a report posted at Boxingscene.com.

In three memorable but controversial fights, Marquez lost twice to Pacquiao, while the other ended in a draw.

The first fight in 2004 ended in a split draw.

The 33-year-old Pacquiao took the second fight in 2008 by a split decision and also last year by majority decision.
