Aside from unavailable right now Floyd Mayweather Jr., Manny Pacquiao can’t seem to choose a next opponent who is palatable to Himself.
This lack of decisiveness has Bob Arum in a minor tizzy, so much so that Uncle Bob babbled to LA Times fistic scrivener Lance Pugmire Tuesday that Pacman has put “affairs of state” meaning his Congressional position ahead of pugilism. Well, I just stumbled on a foe for November or December that Pacquiao can really, you might say, stomach.

And, if it’s true that Pacquiao has longed to box at historic Madison Square Garden, I am about to sign up a willing 27 year old Fil Am from the Hollis section of Queens.
You could also say it would be a real “feather” in Pacman’s cap to fight my choice choice, Wayne Algenio.
Though Algenio looks a little doughy and has probably never graced a boxing ring, he does bring a title belt to a confrontation against the Pinoy Idol.
And a prestigious waist-cinching device it is.
Algenio, who in real life is a sterilizing technician for SurgiCare, wolfed down–get this–18 balut eggs in the awesome time of five minutes.

Algenio took his balut chomping victory in stride, according to GMA News and to an article on the Village Voice Blog by Clarissa Wei Tue. No bragging, no rubbing the losing eater’s noses in their feathery defeat.
“This contest was my first experience with balut, and I didn’t really get the full taste of it because I was just shoving it into my mouth and eating it as fast as possible,” Algenio told GMA News. “I did not have a tummy ache afterwards; actually, I was still hungry.”
Algenio was paid zero for his balut triumph.
I don’t know how his balut-stuffed belly will handle Pacman’s vicious body punching but I know Algenio will appear to the always thrifty Arum.
Imagine, Bob, an easy opponent for Pacman, a guy who will accept a free but large dinner in lieu of a purse.
Let the duck feathers fly!
I just hope Pacquiao doesn’t “duck” this foe. So what if it’s “over the weight?”
Winner gets Mayweather, honest.
Algenio is really hungry.
