PACMAN BRINGING HBO TO THE ISLANDS!
Manila, PH-There is little doubt that the next ring appearance of Manny Pacquiao, will in fact take place in his native land. People are saying that before a possible third match with Erik Morales, or a second go with Marco Antonio Barrera, that the fiery Filipino, the same one who drilled Morales less than two weeks ago, will face a rated junior lightweight fighter somewhere around the 130 lb. limit.
THIRD MORALES FIGHT COULD BE IN MANILA?
An HBO executive, who asked that I withhold his name until things are finalized, says that the entire HBO crew will be transported to the Philippines for this event. They are talking about June or July. Although he never got paid, ex-champion Luisito Espinosa, holds the attendance record with better than 140,000 fans on hand for a 1998 title defense. The bottom line is that there isn’t a building, stadium, nor could they build an outdoor arena that could hold the number of Pacman fans wanting in! These will end up being the hottest sport ticket thus far in Philippine history. In other words, the ticket scalper’s dream of hitting the lottery will come true!
