So it seems that hall of fame boxing trainer Freddie Roach and Pacquiao Conditioning Coach, Alex Ariza have come to a crossroads. According to reports, Roach has had enough of Ariza. What exactly Ariza did this time specifically isn’t being reported. The bad blood started when Ariza broke camp early from the Philippines when Pacquiao was training for Bradley. Ariza was given permission by Pacquiao to leave early, but this didn’t go over well with Roach. This was the beginning of what seems to have become some serious bad blood between the two
. According to boxing scribe Michael Marley, Roach is at the point of dropping an ultimatum of sorts which would force Manny Pacquiao to decide on one or the other, him or Ariza. Read Marley’s report HERE .
To be honest, I’m not surprised at all about this development. The Pacquiao camp has never been very stable. With each camp there has always been something that creates waves. Things have changed dramatically at Wild Card Gym over the years.
Some people claim that Ariza has let boxing fame get to his head. Roach isn’t exempt from these claims either. More and more people are saying that Roach has also changed over the years. Perhaps both individuals have let success get the better of them.

I know this much, the bigger Pacquiao got the bigger the heads of some of the individuals that surround him have gotten. Personally, I have never had an issue with Ariza. Frankly, I like the way the guy pulls no punches and calls things how he sees them. Is he perfect? Nope, but who is?
If it’s true that Pacquiao is being forced to decide between the two, I agree with Marley, we won’t be seeing Ariza in the next camp.
