According to some, Khan is a one dimensional fighter that pops the 1-2 and then circles out. So can a one dimensional fighter with such amateur tactics pull off the win against a young, hungry, puncher like Danny Garcia? I for one feel that Khan is a lot more than what his opposition is currently seeing in the make up of Khan. Garcia, also is a little more than what Khan sees in Garcia. Garcia is more than just a good puncher, the kid can also box a little. To me, both fighters can get a little sloppy with certain punches that they throw, most of it comes from the placement of their feet when these certain punches get thrown. I am expecting to see a very good fight, I am picking Khan to beat Garcia by late stoppage. Khan?s length and speed will be the key to getting Garcia out of there late. For Garcia to have success in beating Khan, Garcia will need to fight Khan close and kill Khan?s body the way Lamont Peterson did. If Garcia can rest his head on Khan?s chest and dig, then Khan at that point will have to use his jab to create distance and strike Garcia with blazing shots. I see Khan doing just that, I?m not trying to sell Garcia short here, but I just don?t like the way he was looking in his win over Morales. I saw the door open and close various times, if I saw this, I know that Roach saw this as well. Roach may not be able to teach defense, but he can sure relay the offensive message loud and clear. Khan must then be alert and use that hand speed to touch Garcia each time that these openings present themselves. Khan by k.o. in 10. The fight is this Saturday night on HBO.
David Haye vs. Dereck Chisora prediction- This clash has bad blood written all over it. And plenty of blood will there be when these two heavyweights put hands on one another. I see Haye as being the faster, smarter, and technically better fighter out of the two. I am picking Haye to win it, but his physical condition must be at an all time high, because you best believe that Chisora is going to make Haye work hard in every single round. Haye (pictured above)wins this in a tough earned decision.
Canelo finds himself in a losing for winning situation- Seems to me that fight fans with their short term memory, have already forgotten the fact that Canelo was supposed to face Paul Williams before Williams had that tragic motorcycle accident. Those same fight fans forgot that Canelo was also going to face James Kirkland, but then Kirkland had second thoughts and walked away from the fight. It was then that a big welterweight named Victor Ortiz was then next in line to get the call to face Canelo. But then a light welterweight named Josesito Lopez came in and killed all that noise by smashing and breaking Ortiz?s jaw. The latest news is that Josesito Lopez is now up on deck warming up to get that call to face Canelo. Swing away young man, swing away. Great news for Josesito, not so great for Canelo. Canelo now finds himself in a no win situation, if Canelo destroys Josesito, you will then hear a lot of chatter about Canelo being much bigger than his opponent as being the reason as to why Canelo won so easily. If Canelo struggles even a little bit against Josesito, the overhyped chants will rain down harder and louder than ever before. You don?t get extra points or praise for doing what is expected of you, you must aim for the heavens to get that Godly praise. Come September 15th after the fight, Canelo?s record will more than likely read 41-0-1, but at what cost? Losing for winning at it?s very finest.
