Undefeated welterweight contender Kell Brook is looking at challenging Timothy Bradley in the near future after the American came through Manny Pacquiao at the weekend via a hotly debated split decision.
Brook, 26, is believed to be hoping to challenge one of the 147lb champions in the coming months if he overcomes Carson Jones on July 7th at the Motorpoint Arena and could be first in line to face Bradley is he cements his win against Pacquiao in November.
“Although I had Manny Pacquiao winning by three or four rounds, I would love to fight Tim Bradley,? Brook told World Boxing News.
?First things first, as I have business to take care of against Carson Jones next month and he is the only thing in my sights right now.
?I believe I have a strategy to take down Bradley down, although I will be keeping that to myself until any future meeting,? he added.
The Sheffield fighter is in the midst of a 27-fight unbeaten run since turning pro in 2004 and holds a healthy ranking with the WBO as he heads towards his first world title shot, which could come at the end of this year.
Brook is currnetly in possession of the IBF’s International welterweight title, meaning he could also potentially be in line to face new IBF belt holder Randall Bailey, who stopped Mike Jones on the Pacquiao v Bradley undercard.
