Too much excitement ‘kills’ Pacman fan

TOO much excitement led to the death of an avid fan of Manny Pacquiao in Manapla town in northern Negros Sunday afternoon.

Rolando Aspa Sr., 74, of Bliss Housing Project, Barangay 1-Rotonda, Manapla was found lifeless, lying beside their television set, inside their house.

Police theorize that the victim died of cardiac arrest after watching the Pacquiao-Erik Morales rematch being aired live on TV from the Thomas and Mack Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

When found, the match was on the second round.

He was already dead when rushed to a nearby hospital in Victorias City.

His eldest son, Rolando Jr. said his father was excited to watch the famous rematch of Pacquiao and Morales.

The elder Aspa was a former amateur boxer in Manapla town during his teenage years.

The demise was not acceptable to his wife, Milagros Aspa because she said he was not sick and only died because of Pacquiao.

The couple had just celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last year.
