Timothy Bradley still confident as fight with Manny Pacquiao draws near

LAS VEGAS ? Timothy Bradley has shown the utmost confidence throughout the promotion of his fight against Manny Pacquiao, and he had the props to prove it at Wednesday’s final press conference at the Hollywood Theater inside the MGM Grand.

At the end of Bradley’s statements, he displayed a fight poster and an enlarged ticket for a rematch on Nov. 10. There is a clause in the contract that if Pacquiao loses, there will be a rematch.

?Baby, come get this ticket,? Bradley said to his wife Monica while holding up the large novelty ticket. ?This is your seat.?

This isn’t the first time Bradley has promoted a Nov. 10 rematch with Pacquiao.

At Bradley’s Hollywood workout last week, they unveiled the poster for the first time as well as faux credentials.

Bradley wasn’t the only one who exuded confidence.

?There’s a lot of upsets in boxing, but they don’t come around so often,? Joel Diaz said. ?We’re up for one and I think Saturday night will be the upset of the decade, Timothy Bradley beating Manny Pacquiao.?

Based on the reaction from fans on the HBO documentary series ?24/7,? Hall of Famer promoter Bob Arum is expecting big things for Saturday’s pay-per-view telecast.

Arum kicked off the final press conference for Bradley and Pacquiao at the Hollywood Theater inside the MGM Grand with his opening statements to express his optimism.

?This fight has generated tremendous amount of interest,? Arum said. ?There’s been a lot of talk about Bible study and vegan diets, but it’s been all good. It’s raising all the topics and I think we’ve attracted so many people who haven’t followed boxing that closely.

?We’re looking to do tremendous numbers on pay-per-view and closed circuit.?

One of the big story lines is how Pacquiao has given up his vices and embraced his religion.

Those in the Pacquiao camp have said the boxer of the decade has looked fresher and sharper now that he’s walking the straight and narrow. Much of Pacquiao’s off time is spent conducting Bible studies. Promoters Top Rank has released a video feature on Pacquiao’s spiritual awakening.
