Jorge Arce may be looking past Donaire, Mares and on to Orlando Salido

The training camp for multi-division champion Jorge ?Travieso? Arce continues to push forward in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. Arce is set to meet up with Puerto Rico?s Jesus Rojas on the pay-per-view undercard portion of the June 9th Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley card at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Arce is no stranger to Las Vegas, having fought in the area eight times as a professional, including his stirring upset over then-WBO junior featherweight champion Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. last year underneath Pacquiao?s pedestrian points verdict over Shane Mosley.

The spotlight shined bright on Arce that evening and he insists he is looking for the same kind of performance against Rojas next month.

?I am very proud of all the world titles, but I am more proud of the great fights I have in my career, especially the ones in Las Vegas against Hussein Hussein and Vazquez Jr.,? Arce said in a recent BoxingScene.com piece by Rafael Soto. ?I stole the show from my good friend Manny Pacquiao and I hope to give the fans another great fight on June 9th.?

The junior featherweight class isn?t short on talent but Arce seems to fancy the idea of a showdown with 126-pound bruiser and WBO champion Orlando Salido.

?I know that I have some interesting fights out there at 122 against Nonito Donaire and Abner Mares, but I also want to fight for the world title at 126 pounds against Orlando Salido. But first thing first; beat Rojas and see what is next,? Arce would state.
