Earlier tonight at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, ?Bad? Chad Dawson reclaimed the WBC light heavyweight title that he once held with a clear victory over living legend Bernard Hopkins. After twelve rounds, Scores of 117-111 were twice read in Dawson?s favor with a bizarre 114-114 scorecard from judge Luis Rivera that was eye-raising.
The two men fought to a second-round no-contest last October after Hopkins was in no shape to continue following a shoulder injury after being thrown to the ground by Dawson. The second time around produced a more refined performance from the 29-year old Dawson, who still had to think every second against the crafty and still-capable Hopkins.
