8CN Mayweather media day coverage

Heading into his next fight with Miguel Cotto, there?s no doubt what Floyd Mayweather Jr. is looking for. “I’m always looking to give the fans what they want to see,? said Mayweather as he spoke at a recent media day from his gym promoting the fight. Training diligently inside of gym on a day to day basis, Mayweather has been putting in great work with sparring partners Ishe Smith, J?Leon Love, and Omar Henry, as well as others, and his trainer and Uncle Roger Mayweather loves what he has seen so far.

Uncle Roger said this is the hardest he’s ever seen me train,? said Floyd. ?This is the hardest he’s ever seen me work for a fight.? Now 42-0 as a pro with 26 knockouts to his credit, Mayweather knows that he is near the twilight of his journey and is counting every blessing. “It’s been a roller coaster ride throughout my whole career, but I’m blessed to be where I am and I want to continue to go out there and dominate. The hard work has been done. During fight week, we will focus on shadow boxing, mental work and light training,? Mayweather said of the fight, which will be on HBO pay-per-view at the MGM Grand.

Showing his business side, Mayweather also made a point to hype up the fight, revealing that Cotto, who has lost to Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito in the past, is a much dangerous fighter in his eyes.

“The fans should watch this [fight] because in my eyes Miguel Cotto is an undefeated fighter,? said Mayweather. ?He fought one guy at a catch weight and another guy who got in trouble for cheating. He’s strong a knockout puncher and he always comes out and fights in a pleasing way.?

After his time speaking was done, Mayweather went through his training routine as he hit the mitts with Roger and then the heavy bag, again putting on a show for those watching. It?s easy to tell that Floyd Mayweather is ready for another super fight.
